New iGoogle theme: Maison de Lee Young Hee
I didn’t really appreciate the recent changes of the iGoogle page: they put the menus to the left, and added all those fancy (a.k.a. “Web 2.0”) round corners to the boxes. I had to change my theme - for the better: I found ”Maison de Lee Young Hee”:
Fashion designer Young-hee Lee creates beautiful traditional Korean dresses with a touch of modernism. Her clothing has been showcased in Paris and New York Collections, and she is the founder of the Korea Museum in New York. All photos for the theme was taken by Jung-man Kim.
Check out some of its header images (click to enlarge):
And the beautiful result:
Thank you, Lee Young Hee.
How much time does it take to scare your customers?
14 seconds.
Am I the only one to think that this is a little bit too much? I mean, they are selling batteries! My mom would probably not sleep well after seeing this ad, every single day…
WTF of the day: The Salt Lake Tribune
A 7-year-old girl was killed in a drive-by shooting on Salt Lake City’s west side Sunday evening.
Police are on the scene and have cordoned off about a block of 800 West Street near Fremont Avenue, where the shooting took place about 6:30 p.m. The shooting was gang-related but the girl was not the intended victim, said Salt Lake City police Lt. Isaac Atencio.
NO SHIT, CAPTAIN OBVIOUS!
I thought a lot of 7-year-old girls were related to gang activities!
